While certain professional gamblers can lay claim to succeeding by wagering on several different areas (Pro Football and Pro Basketball) the most excel at one venue and that is where they put all their effort and research. There is a simple reason for this; gambling is hard work and don’t let anyone else tell you differently. Bet on what you know and study.
Pro Basketball; Lots of Games
Many professional gamblers like the NBA odds, the National Basketball Association and college basketball. The NBA is attractive because the sheer number of games. Mathematically speaking when a larger “set” of situations (games) is available, the propensity for trends and cycles becomes more prevalent. As such, these players will look for these cycles to occur on a yearly basis. Simply put; when “such and such” occurs, there is a more than strong possibility that “such and such” will happen. Hence, the well-schooled gambler will exploit these tendencies more times than not.
The College Game
While there are not as many games in the NCAA (college), still, other factors make it an equally attractive betting option as the Pro game. Of course trends still occur in the college basketball game, but there is also the subtle and nebulous notion of passion and energy. Often times inferior teams are able to stay close (more importantly, cover the spread) simply on passion coupled with a home-court advantage, where their rabid fans propel and will them to an inspired effort.
This is why the good gamblers look forward to the playoffs in the NBA and the NCAA tournament (March Madness) for basketball betting. Usually it is here where their “pet” trends come to the surface and when the big scores are made. And nothing is more satisfying to the good gambler when his insight is superior to the masses, “It’s like taking candy from a baby.”
